Graphic design and brand identity for Danny Meyer’s latest Roman coffee bar situated in the under-caffeinated neighborhood of NoMad.
My role was to distill the intention of the space from Chefs, Operations, and Architects and translate that into a graphic language. Inspired by 20th century Roman shop signage and the elegant curves of the marble bar, a custom drawn logo was designed to be the core element of the brand. Supported by a rich, jewel tone color palette and modern photography, the brand is positioned as an authentic Italian respite amid the bustle of grab-and-go coffee shops.
