Aesop Fragrance Range
Art Director of the Fragrance Range campaign, highlighting the three Aesop fragrances. Conceptualized video and photography, captured by Olivier Severe in the quarries of Valle Maggia in Locarno, Switzerland. Supporting still life imagery was produced for digital, social and in-store touch points.
This visual—captivating, sensorial, and evocative—expresses Aesop’s approach to fragrance. Scent simultaneously extends and contains the human body, lingering in the mind and on the skin, enveloping the wearer while also taking on new shapes to reach beyond the body, to others.
Here, smoke has been used to represent the fragranced self. It is neither a male nor female body—it is a mood, expressed with true Aesop nonconformity to evoke a personal, unique response. The smoke coverage shown in the image is purposely sheer and weightless. Equally, fragrance is best used lightly, with restraint and subtlety in mind. It envelops the mind deeply and the skin lightly.
