Aesop Book Campaign
Much of the book—arguably its raison d’être—is devoted to capturing, delineating and, in some cases, demystifying the codes that inform the day-to-day workings of Aesop, many of which are governed by repetition and reproduction. These tenets are made manifest with reproductions of double-page spreads from the book, overlaid with quotes that speak to Aesop’s respect for—and pursuit of—excellent design.
Produced and disseminated en masse, collaged visuals provide an impressionistic, preview of the book’s contents as well as a physical reference to the book itself. Collages may appear in social media posts, displayed as window vinyls or fly posters, and used as wrapping paper for events. This approach also functions at a figurative level, representing layers of memory, experience, knowledge and convention.
